Providing that your school is already set up with the Pupil Progress App, you're able to utilise your trackers' Links & Actions feature to easily share relevant resources and follow-up tasks directly with your students and their parents.
This article will guide you through creating a new link or action, selecting which students to share these with, viewing these on the App, and downloading them in lists.
Create a link or action to share with students and parents
School admins and Leaders of a subject area can create a new link or action by following the steps below:
Head to your class tracker (or year group overview) for the relevant subject.
Open Tools from the left side menu.
Tick Enable Links & Actions and then click Configure.
Select Create New Item within the pop up menu.
The Target tracker details should fill in automatically. You can then choose the item type as either a link or action.
If creating a link, enter the link details including the URL, title and a short description to provide any further context.
Alternatively, for an action, simply enter the title and task description.
Set the status of the item as active (for when you want to share it immediately) or inactive (if you'd like to prepare items first and share them at a later date).
When you're done, simply click Save & Close at the bottom of the page.
Select students to share a link or action with
Once you've created a new link or action, all teachers for the subject area will be able to select which students to share this with, by following the steps below:
Head back to the Tools menu and select Configure.
Tick your newly-created item to mark it as visible on your tracker.
A new column to the right of your students' names will then appear, with a tick-box for each.
Simply tick the box to mark the link or action as visible for the student, alternatively you can tick the box in line with the Average row to have it show for all students.
π‘ You can return to the Configure menu at any point, and untick the item to hide it on the tracker.
How will this look on Pupil Progress App?
After being ticked, and providing that your link or action is set as active, your students and their parents will then see a Useful links & actions tab at the bottom of their subject report on the Pupil Progress App.
They're able to simply tap on any links shared, and will be taken to the resource that you've chosen.
Something to note:
If you aren't currently using the App, but are interested in finding out more, please reach out to your school's account manager.
Manage links and actions across your subjects
You can view, download and make changes to your items within Reports > Useful Links & Actions. You'll notice different labels for actions and links to allow for easy identification.
To download a list of links or actions as an Excel file, select Download to the right of the qualification title. Within the downloaded file, the first column will display the item type as link or action.
To make changes to an existing link or action, click the three dots to the right of the relevant item, then select either Edit, Delete or Make Inactive.
π Pupil Progress Tip
If you're unsure on who to share a link or action with, we'd recommend using the Sorting feature to order your students by attainment in a certain area.
