This article applies to schools that have Pupil Progress connected to their MIS via Groupcall.

What does a synchronised class look like?

  • For context, synchronised classes show a tick icon to indicate that they're being updated every day.

  • If you see another icon however, such as a chain link with a line through it (see image below), this will indicate that the class is not currently being synchronised.

Why isn't my class synced?

  1. Most commonly, the class was set up using a manual method, including uploading an Excel file or selecting the students individually.

  2. It may also be the result of changes on your MIS, such as switching to a different MIS provider or substantial re-timetabling (this can sometimes show a 'Class no longer on MIS' message instead.

How can I synchronise an unsynced class?

  1. Start by clicking the three dots to the right hand side of where the qualification is listed.

  2. Then, select Synchronise your classlists.

  3. Lastly, simply tick the classes you'd like to sync up and click Save Changes.

Something to note:

  • Pupil Progress will then usually take a minute or so to update, during which time you won't be able to access your trackers.

  • However, once this is done, the green Live Tracking button will return, and your classes will automatically update with any changes made on your MIS.

πŸ“– Team Tip

If you need to remove a class from the platform, ensure it is unsynced before clicking the three dots to the right-hand side and selecting Delete.
