Once you set your students' Minimum Target Grades (MTGs), you'll see that their grades become colour-coded in your trackers.

The colours give you a quick and intuitive understanding of how your class is performing overall, as well as at an individual level.

Colour-coding of Unit and Summary Grades

Grades for each assessment that your student's sit are colour-coded using the following key:

  • Blue - Above Target

  • Green - On Target

  • Orange - 1 Grade Away

  • Red - Off Target

This can be helpful for:

  • Comparing students' performance across multiple units.

  • Targeting groups of students who could use some support.

  • Planning future lessons in consideration of your classes' performance.

For example:

When analysing by colour, at first glance, you can see that a student might have exceeded their minimum target grade for a unit, while they underperformed in the next unit. This is highlighted in the example below for the student Ada Browning.

Colour shading of marks

The darkness of the cells which display raw marks are indicative of how well your students have performed:

  • The darker cells indicate a higher score.

  • The lighter cells indicate a lower score.

For example:

Below, you'll see at first glance that the students with the lighter shaded marks have scored the lowest for the mock. Therefore, they could use some support in order to improve their grades.

Can I use RAG ratings instead?

You can enable RAG rating on any tracker to instead identify assessment QLA by red, yellow, and green. Find out how to enable this in the article below πŸ‘‡
