Change the Grade Boundaries series on your tracker

  1. Open up a tracker that you want to adjust the boundaries for.

  2. Open the Tools menu from the left hand side, and select Change (below Grade Boundaries).

  3. From the pop up, you can change the Grade Boundaries Series to any exam series listed in the dropdown.

πŸ’‘ Send us a message in the bottom right corner of the platform if you cannot see the series you're needing.

Adjust the challenge level of the tracker Grade Boundaries

  1. The Adjust Grade Boundaries section will allow you to shift the applied Grade Boundaries in 1% increments each way, ranging from -10% to 10%.

  2. Click on Save & Close and your students' grades will be recalculated based on the grade boundaries you've just chosen.

πŸ’‘ Please be aware that changing grade boundaries in this way will apply to your whole tracker and not an individual test/unit. However, your raw data will be unaffected when you change grade boundaries.

Change Grade Boundaries for a single test only

You can shift the grade boundaries of a single test that has been added to your tracker as an Customised Assessment by either Β±5% or Β±10%. For more guidance, see this article:

At the current time, we are unable to have specific grade boundaries from different exam series applied to individual papers.

If you need any set grade boundaries added to your tracker, just get in touch with us directly over the Helpdesk. You can do this using the little blue button on the bottom right corner of your screen.

πŸ“– Team Tip

If the student grades awarded on the Tracker look slightly skewed, it is worth double-checking the Grade Boundary section, to see if a shift has been put in place.
