What do I do if I only have data for part of a unit?

If you have only partly completed a past paper, instead of adding the data into the section already in your tracker:

  • Create a Customised Assessment for the marks in your adapted paper.

  • Entering your data into the tracker's default columns will mean your students are assessed against the unedited grade boundaries, rather than a set that is scaled for the assessment they have taken.

Watch the video below and read this article to find out the steps to adding a Customised Assessment, so that you can calculate a grade from a partially completed exam paper.

Video Summary:

What next?

  • Once you have added the Customised Assessment, your students' marks will be scaled so that they can be accurately compared against the grade boundaries on the tracker, and thus give a grade for this assessment.

Something to note:

If you have completed the assessment in two parts, you are able to retrospectively copy the data from the Customised Assessment you created into the default Published Assessment on the tracker using Pupil Progress' Bulk Edit feature, to then ensure your students can get one grade for the paper.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us via the help centre. You can do this using the blue button on the bottom right corner of your screen.

If you navigate through to your Assessment list, and untick the boxes positioned underneath your classes, you can make any incomplete papers invisible for the time being.
