Note: Features within this article are accessible to School Admin users only.
If your Pupil Progress school is set up to sync with your school's MIS, non-achievement-related student details will pull through to the platform automatically and update daily through the sync with Groupcall. This includes student names, emails, and UPNs.
However, achievement-related data will need to be uploaded to the platform using a template. This includes:
KS2 Scaled Scores
Reading Age
KS2 Prior Attainment
CAT Scores
KS4 Academic Average Point Score and KS4 Applied General Average Point Score
Follow the steps in this article to upload achievement-related student details.
Upload Prior Attainment Data for Students
To upload prior attainment data for students:
Hover over My School on the top menu and select Students from the dropdown.
Click Import Students From XLS at the top of the page.
Click Download XLS Template. The template for uploading student details will then be saved in your Downloads folder as an Excel file.
Fill in the template using the guidance in yellow at the top. Required information for the upload is UPN, First Name and Surname. You can then input any of the optional data fields for uploading to student's contact.
Any blank values will be ignored - they will not overwrite current information.
Save the completed template and return to Pupil Progress. Then, select Upload Import File and choose the relevant file.
A green pop-up message should appear in the bottom left corner of the page confirming File Uploaded.
Import Issues
If you have selected Upload Import File and see an Import Failed message, this is because there is an issue with the file formatting and it cannot be recognised.
Return to the file and make the necessary corrections, based on the import errors highlighted in red.
