Which tests are counting towards the students' unit grade?

When you have multiple Customised and Published Assessments in a unit, you are likely to want only the most relevant to count towards the Current and Average Unit Grade. This way you know you are using only the most relevant data.

  • You can see exactly which tests in a unit are counting towards the unit grade simply by clicking on a student's Current Unit Grade.

  • The tests that weight towards this grade will then be highlighted for you, showing you at first glance which marks are currently counting towards students' Current Grade and Average Unit Grade. (Pictured in GIF below)

How do I turn off a test from counting towards students' current grade?

For Leader of Users and School Admins:

  1. From within your class, select Tools

  2. Click Edit Assessments

  3. Click Quick Edit in the top-right

  4. Tick/Untick the box positioned underneath Count Towards Summary Grades

  5. Once you are done, select Save Changes

  • When you next access your tracker, the test you just edited will no longer be counted when calculating your students' Current Grade and Average Unit Grade.

  • It will also be omitted from the Topic Summary calculations

Something to note:

Each unit should have at least one Published Assessment which is set to Count towards Current & Projected Grade.
