Why is it not allowing me to delete the Published Assessment?
Each unit needs to have at least one Published Assessment that is Counting towards the Unit and Summary Grades. If you are trying to delete the only one for that unit, it will not let you.
You may have a second Published Assessment set for a unit, but check if it is Counting towards the Unit and Summary Grades and has been added to all classes. If not, then you will need to Edit the Published Assessment you are keeping and tick the Counting towards the Unit and Summary Grades box.
How can I make a paper count or not count towards the grade?
You may wish to still show a Published Assessment on the tracker and reports but for it not to count towards the grade, if so:
Go to Edit on the relevant the Published Assessment
Deselect the Counting towards the Unit and Summary Grades box and Save Changes.
If you need to make it count again, go back to Edit and re-tick Counting towards the Unit and Summary Grades box and Save Changes.
How can I make a paper not count towards the grade if it is the only one assigned to that unit?
As mentioned, each unit must have at least one assessment counting towards the overall grades in every class. If there is only one assessment currently assigned, follow these steps:
Create an alternative Published Assessment by going to Add New Assessment
Title it whatever is most relevant (e.g. 'Default Assessment')
Ensure you tick that assessment as Counting towards the Unit and Summary Grades
Once the alternative Published Assessment has been created, you will be able to stop the initial one from counting.
As long as there are no marks entered into the Default Assessment, your students' grades will not be affected!
How can I hide a Published Assessment for a class?
Go to Edit and then scroll down to the classes.
Untick the classes that you want to hide the Published Assessment for and then press Save Published Assessment.
The data will still be saved, so if you come back and re-select the classes, the assessments will be restored along with the data.
π Pupil Progress Tip
You will need at least one active, visible Published Assessment counting towards the grade calculations, otherwise you will not be able to save the changes.
