Filters is a tool found in trackers and Analysis that allows you to select which students show on your tracker, based upon a selected characteristic.
You can filter by Student Attribute (e.g. gender or Pupil Premium), Grade, Tags, and how students are tracking against their Minimum Target Grades. Add multiple filters at a time and narrow down your data to identify trends and gaps.
Add Filters to your tracker
To add filters to your tracker:
Select Filters in the left menu.
Click on a characteristic that you want to filter the data by, dropdown options will then appear below. To filter by:
Student Attribute: Select the Student Attribute and then the Value.
Grade: Select the Unit that the grade is displayed in (note: only expanded units will be visible here), the Grade Column and the range of grades you want to filter by.
Comparison to MTG: Select the Grade Column you want to compare against MTGs, then select either one or multiple Values for the distance.
Tags: Select a Tag that has been added for the subject below Value.
Select ADD FILTER to confirm.
You can add multiple filters to a tracker. Once a filter has been added, a red circle will appear next to the Filters icon, displaying the number of Filters that have been applied.
π‘ Note: Filters are user-specific, meaning they won't be applied for other staff members using the same tracker.
Clear filters
Filters will stay on the tracker until you clear them. You can see all existing filters that are currently applied on the tracker at the top of the Filters menu.
Simply select CLEAR ALL FILTERS to remove all filters from the tracker and view the whole class or year group.
π Team Tip
If you're noticing trends when filtering by multiple attributes, why not set up a Tag to group relevant students. Read this article to find out more.
