If you have added or removed questions from a past paper, Pupil Progress' Modify Assessment feature allows you to update this without needing to create the assessment from scratch.

The first step to do this is slightly different to how you would normally add a Published Assessment, as you'll want to select Copy or Modify Assessment from the Tools instead. If you're adding this from the Assessments menu, you'll click Add Assessment and then Copy Existing Assessment instead.

The Target Tracker (one that you're already on) should be automatically fill in the course details. You're then able to scroll down to fill in the details for the Source Tracker, i.e. the one you're looking to add the assessment from. In the majority of cases, this will be the both of these will be the same, but there may be some cases where it differs, like if you are looking to add an AS-Level paper to an A-Level tracker.

Once the course is filled in, find the assessment you're looking to add and then click the blue Copy Selected button.

In essence, this will then convert the paper to a Customised Assessment, allowing you to make any changes you need. As the tracker will create a scaled mark for this assessment, it doesn't matter whether the maximum amount of marks are above or below that of the actual paper.

However, keep in mind that for subjects with optional questions (such as GCSE Geography), the assessment will no longer be able to select the best answer, and will increase the maximum amount of marks instead - in this specific example, you could add a 'Food/Water/Energy' question instead.

Once you're done, click Save and Collapse, where you'll have the option to add any other assessments at the same time. If you've added all of the assessments that you need, click Create Assessments to save these to your trackers.

Then, simply return to your tracker by clicking on Tracking at the top of the page and using the filters to navigate by course. When you next open your tracker, the assessment will be there ready for you to enter your data!
