The Copy Existing Assessment feature allows School Admins and Subject Leaders to reuse any previously added Customised or Published Assessments, make changes to these assessments, and copy them from one qualification type to another.

When to use Copy Existing Assessment

Choose Copy Existing Assessment when:

  • Reusing an assessment from a previous year.

  • Making changes to questions, marks, or topics within a Published Assessment.

  • Your class has completed part of a paper.

  • Your class has completed a paper from a different tier than they're on.

  • Your class has completed an AS paper but is on an A-Level tracker.

Add an existing assessment to a tracker

To copy an assessment from one tracker to another:

  1. From the Tracking homepage, select Live Tracking for the class you want to add the assessment to.

  2. Click the blue Add New Assessment button in the left menu, then choose Copy Existing Assessment.

  3. The Target Tracker details will already be filled in; this is the tracker you're currently in and where the assessment will be added.

Scroll down to Select Source and use the dropdowns to select the tracker to copy the assessment from:

    1. If copying an assessment over from the previous academic year, change the Assessment Type to Customised Assessment, and the Academic Year to the relevant previous year.

    2. If copying an AS paper into an A-Level tracker, change the specification to AS-Level.

    3. If copying a paper from a different tier, select the relevant assessment under Assessment Name. Each assessment will have an F or H next to it, indicating the tier.

    4. If making changes to a current assessment for the same qualification, simply change the Assessment Type to Customised or Published Assessment.

  4. Select the relevant assessment(s) from the Assessment Name dropdown and then click Copy Selected.

  5. You'll then have the option to select which unit you'd like it to show on and make any changes to the assessment that you may need, such as removing the date taken, or adding/removing any questions.

  6. Once you're ready to add the assessment to the tracker, click Save and Collapse at the bottom of the page and then Create Assessments on the following page.

  7. Return to your tracker, expand (+) the relevant unit and begin entering data into your new assessment.

πŸ“– Team Tip

If your tracker's default assessment is not relevant, you can hide it within the Assessment List.
