If you're using Pupil Progress from a PiXL member school, you're able to show the English and Maths Waves data on your tracker in order to compare your students' performance against the national average.

PiXL Waves comparisons

Watch a support workshop led by one of our PiXL experts to learn how to get the most out of PiXL comparisons:

Enable PiXL Waves averages on a tracker

To add the PiXL Waves national average to your tracker:

  1. Within Live Tracking for a Maths or English class or a Year Group Overview, open Tools from the left menu.

  2. Select the relevant series from the dropdown below Compare to PiXL Waves.

  3. Click back the main tracker and you'll see an additional row above the existing Average row, labelled the selected PiXL series.

πŸ’‘ The PiXL row will present data in the blue Topic Summary area for Maths, English Language and English Literature.

Difference in average data for English and Maths

As both English GCSEs utilise a repeatable exam structure, PiXL Waves data will also show in the Average section of each paper, if more than one has been added to your tracker.

If only one Published Assessment has been added to the unit for English, it will show above where your student data is entered.

For Maths, it is not possible to view the average for each exam paper, due to using a different structure every series.

πŸ“– Team Tip

Keep an eye out for communications from PiXL directly as to when future editions of the Waves data will be available.
