How can I compare my data to the PiXL Waves?

If you're using Pupil Progress from a PiXL member school, you're able to show the English and Maths Waves data on your tracker in order to compare your students' performance against the national average.

  1. Simply toggle Tools on your tracker

  2. Select your PiXL Waves series from the dropdown box at the bottom of the page.

  • You will then notice a new row appear above your tracker's existing Average row, labelled PiXL: (Pictured in the GIF below)

  • The PiXL row will then present data in the blue Topic Summary area for Math, English Language and English Literature.

Something to note:

  • As both English GCSEs utilise a repeatable exam structure, PiXL Waves data will also show in the Average section of each paper, if more than one has been added to your tracker.

  • If only one Published Assessment has been added to the unit, it will show above where your student data is entered. (Pictured below)

  • This is not possible for Maths due to each exam paper using a different structure every series.

Keep an eye out for communications from PiXL directly as to when future editions of the Waves data will be available to add to your Pupil Progress tracker.
