Enter grades into a vocational tracker
In most vocational trackers, you can track your students' progress by entering specific letters for each criteria, as shown in the key below:
Y = Passed
N = Failed
S = Submitted, awaiting grading
I = Incomplete
E = Evidence towards criteria
Z = Blanking code (counting as Y, but for units not delivered for QTAG - indicating therefore the students would have achieved this level had they sat the unit)

Add your own tests to a vocational tracker
Vocational trackers are built to reflect the course structure, replicating all components and component content. However, if your class sits an assessment outside of this, you're able to add a Customised Assessment for additional data entry.
To add a Customised Assessment to a vocational tracker, follow the steps outlined in the following article:
Once you've created a Customised Assessment, you'll then be able to enter students' raw marks and the tracker will automatically convert these into UMS to allow for accurate grade calculation.
Grade Boundaries on vocational trackers
As vocational qualifications tend to utilise UMS, it's not always possible to change the grade boundaries on the tracker, due to additional complications in grade calculations.
However, we strive to have the most updated grade boundaries series available across all trackers by default.
If you're unsure whether the mark to UMS conversion appears correct on your tracker, first check the UMS converter for the relevant specification, as published by the exam board.
