RAG rating can be displayed within any class, Year Group Overview, or Class Average Comparison. You can also choose to display RAG rating on student reports.

Once enabled, all assessment and unit marks, averages, and Topic Summary percentages will become RAG rated. This displays three fixed colours (red, yellow, and green) which are based on the following percentage thresholds:

  • Red = <33%

  • Yellow = 34-66%

  • Green = >66%

Default Tracker View

By default, trackers are set up with colour shading enabled. This is where grades are colour-coded against students' Minimum Target Grades (MTGs), and assessment marks and topic percentages are shaded from light to dark depending on performance.

πŸ’‘ Note: Enabling RAG rating will impact assessment and unit marks, averages, and topic percentages only. Grades will remain colour-coded against students MTGs, as highlighted in the article below:

Enable RAG rating on your tracker

To enable RAG rating on a tracker:

  1. Click View in the left menu to open your tracker's display options.

  2. Select Enable RAG rating under Tracker Shading.

  3. Save and close the View tab by selecting X in the top right corner, or by clicking on View again.

  4. Assessment and unit marks, averages, and topic percentages will now be highlighted with RAG colouring.

πŸ’‘ Tip: If you'd prefer no colours to be displayed in your tracker, simply select None under Tracker Shading in the View menu.

Enable RAG rating on reports

You can also choose RAG ratings to display on your reports. School Admins can enable this by following the steps below:

  1. Hover over Reports at the top of the page and select Report Templates from the dropdown.

  2. Either select Add Report Template to create a new template, or update your Default Template by selecting Edit to the far right.

  3. Scroll down to Colour Settings and tick Enable RAG colouring from marks columns. You can also set the MTG colour settings for grades independent of this.

  4. Select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

When you download reports using this template, you'll be able to see RAG ratings for all assessment/unit marks and percentages in the Topic Summary.

πŸ“– Team Tip

View preferences are both class- and user-specific. This means once you enable RAG rating it will only impact your tracker for the class you're in.
