How can I import my Pupil Progress data into Bromcom?

First, download a copy of the data in Pupil Progress so that you can upload it into your Bromcom MIS.

  1. In Pupil Progress, click Analysis from the top bar and choose which year group you're looking to download the data for.

  2. Select Grades Summary from the options before clicking Continue.

  3. This will show you the Average Unit Grade for all students in the year group across all subject areas. You can change what grade is being pulled using the Grade Type dropdown on the left-hand side.

  4. Open Student Attributes from the left menu to add any additional fields, such as a unique identifier like Admission Number or UPN.

  5. Once your grade source and columns are configured, open Tools from the left menu and select Download as XLS. This will download all of the Grade Summary's raw data as an Excel file, ready for you to copy and paste elsewhere as needed.

  6. Repeat this process as many times as you need across multiple year groups.

What's next?

  • Now that you have a download of your assessment data, head to Bromcom and from the left hand side select Modules -> Assessment -> Assessment Sheets List.

  • Once you open the assessment sheet that you're looking to update, click the Export button towards the top of the page - this should then download another Excel spreadsheet where you can paste in your grades from Pupil Progress (or use a =Match/Lookup function if you're an Excel whiz!).

  • Once you have made the changes to the Bromcom assessment sheet, save the file and then click Import (immediately to the left of the export button from earlier) to upload this.

  • You'll then just need to save this on Bromcom and your grade data has been imported!
