Cautionary Notes

  • QLA reports identify where marks were lost, but they do not explain the underlying cause.

  • Do not assume every dropped mark is due to the same issue; investigate context with the student.

  • Ensure the correct assessment is selected before generating the report, otherwise the wrong data may appear.

  • If multiple assessments are visible, the report may be less focused and harder for students to interpret.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Use Quick Edit to update assessment visibility faster.

  • Generate the report for the whole class at once instead of downloading each student individually.

  • Attach the QLA report to the front of the completed assessment paper to make feedback easier to follow.

  • Use the report consistently after assessments so students become familiar with reviewing their mistakes and next steps.
