Just to note, this feature is only available for qualifications which support custom grade boundaries, such as A-Levels or tiered GCSEs.

How can I add an alternative grade boundary series to Published Assessments?

When adding a Published Assessment you will not see an option to edit the grade boundaries.

Why is this the case?

  • By default these Assessments will use the same series as is currently applied on your tracker.

  • This is so as to produce the most accurate working-at grades for your students, as their work can be directly compared to track progress.

However;

By combining two of Pupil Progress' features;

  1. Copying Assessments

You are able to enter alternative boundaries for selected qualifications, such as GCSE Maths, Science and MFL as well as all A-Level and AS-Level courses.

How do I do this from my Tracker?

  1. Toggle Tools

  2. Click Add Assessments.

  3. Click Copy Existing Assessment (Pictured in the GIF below)

  4. You can get to the same area by hovering over Tracking on the main page, and then Assessments -> Add New Assessment -> Copy Existing Assessment.

  • You're then able to scroll down to the Grade Boundaries area of the tracker, and select the option for 'Custom Grade Boundaries' as the type in the dropdown box.

  • You're then able to enter specific mark requirements into the boxes to match that of the alternative series that you're looking to add. (Pictured in the GIF below)
