Using Pupil Progress' Migration features, you're able to set up your classes for the new year in a matter of minutes. Take a look at the 2-min video below for a step-by-step guide on how to do this πŸ‘‡

Please note: Some of these options, such as 'Auto-suggest trackers' and 'Migrate and Sync' will only appear if Pupil Progress is connected to your school's MIS via Groupcall. If your MIS is not synced, you can still migrate your classes in the same way shown in the video but your new classes would need to be added in the standard way -> How to add classes to Pupil Progress

For most schools, the option to migrate your classes will be available as of the 1st September 2023, but in some cases it may not be possible until your MIS rollover date on or after the 4th September.

If no classes are visible when attempting to migrate your classes, this will tend to mean that they have not yet been pulled from your MIS. The Groupcall sync only occurs once a day, so if you experience this issue please try waiting a day or two before attempting the migration again.

If you have any questions about this, or are experiencing any issues when trying to migrate, please email our team via the help centre. You can do this using the little blue button on the bottom right corner of your screen.

To migrate existing trackers (Y10 & 12) to the new year:

  1. From the Tracking page, click Copy trackers from previous academic year, and then Migrate and Sync.

  2. Select either Year 10 or Year 12 from the dropdown box.

  3. From the list below, tick the boxes next to classes you're looking to import to the new year on Pupil Progress, before clicking the blue Create New Classes button at the bottom of the page.

  4. Repeat steps for the other year group.

To quickly set-up new class trackers:

  1. From the Tracking page, click Add New Class, and then Auto-suggest trackers.

  2. Select the year group you're looking to set up from the dropdown box.

  3. Tick the boxes on the list below for any classes you want to set up using the same specification as last year. If any classes have changed qualification, you will need to set these up individually (click this link for more info on how to do this).

  4. Click Create New Trackers at the bottom when you're done before repeating this process for any other year groups.
