How to copy multiple assessments at the same time

A step-by-step guide that explains how you can duplicate your existing assessments, such as those from last year.

Just to note, the Assessment features within the platform are only accessible to School Admins and Leaders of. User Permission Levels can be easily amended by a School Admin.


How can I copy multiple assessments at the same time?

Pupil Progress' Copy Existing Assessment feature makes it easy to use any existing Customised Assessments again.

Target Tracker and Select Source

Multi-Select your previous assessments

Select and Create your assessments


From your tracker:

  1. Toggle Tools, and then click Add Assessments

  2. Select Copy Existing Assessment

  3. In the Select source area, select Customised Assessment from the 'Assessment Type' dropdown, and fill in the details for the tracker you'd like to copy your assessments from

  4. Select as many assessments as you'd like to copy, and then click the blue Copy Assessments button

  5. On this page, you will need to re-enter the term/unit/paper that you'd like to add the assessment to. You'll have the ability to make any further changes here also.

  6. Once you have saved the settings for all of your assessments, click the blue Create Assessments button.


From the Tracking page:

  1. Click on the Tracking dropdown and select Assessments

  2. From here, click Add Assessments

  3. Select Copy Existing Assessment

  4. In the Select source area, select Customised Assessment from the 'Assessment Type' dropdown, and fill in the details for the tracker you'd like to copy your assessments from

  5. Select as many assessments as you'd like to copy, and then click the blue Copy Assessments button

  6. On this page, you will need to re-enter the term/unit/paper that you'd like to add the assessment to. You'll have the ability to make any further changes here also.

  7. Once you have saved the settings for all of your assessments, click the blue Create Assessments button.

When you return to your tracker, you'll be able to see your assessments and begin entering your new data.

The Copy Existing Assessment feature can be really useful especially for new classes, such as those in Y10, 12 or in KS3.
