How can I share study resources with students and parents? (Linking)

  • Providing that your school is already set up with the Pupil Progress app, you're able to utilise your trackers' Linking feature to easily share helpful resources directly with your students and their parents.

To share a link;

  1. Start by heading to your class tracker (or year group overview) for the relevant subject.

  2. Then, toggle Linking above your students names

  3. Click Configure and Create New Link. (Pictured in the GIF below)

What next?

  • The Target tracker details should fill in automatically, and below this you're able to enter the details for the link you'd like to share.

  • This includes the URL, Title and a short description to provide any further context.

  • You also have the option to add the link as active (for when you want to share your link right away) or inactive (if you'd like to prep your link first and share it at a later date).

  • When you're done, simply click Save & Close at the bottom of the page. (Pictured in the GIF below)

How do I make the link visible?

  • Once your tracker refreshes, you're able to click Configure once more to then tick your newly-created link to mark it as visible on your tracker.

  • A new column to the right of your students' names will then appear, with a tick-box for each.

  • Simply tick the box to mark this link as visible for the student, or alternatively you can tick the box in line with the Average row to have the link show for all students. (Pictured in the GIF below)

How will this look on Pupil Progress App?

  • After being ticked, and providing that your link is set as active, your students and their parents will then see a 'Useful links' tab at the bottom of their subject report on the Pupil Progress app.

  • They can then simply tap on the link to be taken to the resource that you've chosen. (Pictured in the GIF below)

Something to note:

If you aren't currently using the app, but are interested in finding out more, please reach out to your school's account manager.

If you're unsure on who to share the link with, we'd recommend using your tracker's Sorting feature to order your students by attainment in a certain area.
