Combine Assessments is an assessment option that allows you to combine multiple existing assessments into one Customised Assessment.

Take questions from any Published or Customised Assessments and create a single assessment. Choose to remove or reorder any question to tailor the assessment to your needs.

This feature can be used to minimise the possibility of students memorising the question order rather than understanding the content.

Create a Combined Assessment

To create an assessment using Combine Assessments, follow these steps:

  1. In the left menu of your chosen tracker, select Add New Assessment and choose Combine Assessments.

  2. The target tracker (where the assessment will be added) is pre-selected by default. Scroll down to Select source, where you can choose which assessments to combine.

  3. Using the dropdowns, set the source to the relevant assessment type: Published Assessment or Customised Assessment. You can also change the source to a different qualification if needed.

  4. Using the last dropdown, click on any assessments in the list to add them to your selection for combining into one assessment.

  5. Click Copy Selected to confirm your selection.

  6. On the following page, the selected assessments will appear under one Customised Assessment. Fill in the required details, including the Unit, Name, and preferences for counting towards Unit and Summary Grades, and the Topic Summary.

  7. Click the three dots to the far right of any question and choose to Remove, Move Up, or Move Down the question.

πŸ’‘ If you do so, ensure the question numbers are updated and correct.

  8. Once you're ready to add the assessment, select Save and Collapse at the bottom of the page, and then click Create Assessments on the following page.

  9. When you return to the tracker and expand (+) the relevant unit, the assessment will appear the same as a Customised Assessment.
