How do I add Learning Characteristics to the trackers?

School Admin Users can setup the columns in the Learning Characteristics section on their trackers. To get started;

  1. Click on My School in the top menu and select Learning Characteristics.

  2. Choose a value you want to add and either select the tick box for Enable for all Year Groups or the grey Enable for Specific Year Groups button.

  3. You can either choose to use our default descriptors and values, or deselect the tick box to Use default values so you can enter your schools own descriptors or add extra ones.

Watch our video below to find out the steps to adding Learning Characteristics:

Analysis, Learning Characteristics, and exporting your data

Something to note:

  • You will need to add all Learning Characteristic values that you want to track in one go at the start of the year.

  • This is because any changes you make here will affect all trackers for all subjects in the selected Year Groups and is to avoid confusion for users if they change.

How will they display on the trackers?

  • The values you add will be added to all trackers in the specified year groups. They will always be in a grey section, next to the Summary section.

  • The Learning Characteristic descriptor will populate after you input the numerical value. Please see the Image below :
