Note: This article is most relevant to schools that do not have Pupil Progress linked to the School's MIS. Or alternatively, for synchronised schools that have any manually managed classes that fall outside of the sync.

Edit your class details

Classes can be easily edited to reflect changes that might occur throughout the academic year, or to correct simple mistakes. To do this:

  1. Find the relevant class from the Tracking home page, and click on the 3-dot symbol to the right of Live Tracking.

  2. Select Edit Tracker Options | Class from the dropdown options.

  3. Here, you're able to edit the class name and teacher(s) assigned to the class. You can also search by student's name to add students to the class, or select Remove students from the class list.

Change the optional units

If you're editing a class tracker with optional units that are variable, these are also editable from the Edit Tracker Options page. To amend optional units:

  1. Simply untick the units you're not teaching and tick those that you need displayed on your tracker.

  2. Click on Save Changes at the bottom of the page, and your tracker will be updated to display the units you selected.

Optional Units

Students not showing

If the student you're trying to add to your class is not included in your school's student list, they will not be visible to add when searched.

Student not in the list

In this case, you'll need to add the student(s) to the general student list first, before returning to add them to the relevant class.

Error when adding students

The above message will show when you're trying to add a student to the current class who is already assigned to another class on the same qualification.

This is because each student can only sit a qualification once, so the system will prevent you from allocating a student to the same qualification twice.

You're able to move students by following the steps in the article below:

Change the tracker your class is assigned to

If your class is attached to the wrong tracker, you'll need to re-upload the class attached to the correct tracker and then delete the wrong one. For the steps on how to do this, take a look at the below article:

You're able to copy and paste data between trackers with ease, by using the Bulk Edit tool.
