How can I add a low stakes assessment to the tracker?

  • When adding an assessment on Pupil Progress, you have the option to select whether it Counts towards the Unit and Summary grades by way of a tickbox, showing directly below the box to enter the assessment's name.

  • When this is ticked, the student's results on this assessment will impact other areas of the tracker, such as the Topic Summary.

How can I add a low stakes assessment to the tracker (without grades)?

  • For assessments where the above box is unticked, you have the option to show a grade next to where the students' marks are listed.

  • These grades are calculated by scaling their marks against the exam board specification, to produce one based on the grade boundary series that you have set on the tracker.

For more info on how grades are calculated, check out the article below:

  • However, simply make sure the Hide Grade for this Assessment box is ticked to ensure that the scaled grade does not show on the tracker. (Pictured in the GIF below)

  • Once you return to the tracker and enter your marks, the scaled mark and grade columns that usually show will be hidden, leaving only their raw mark for that assessment. (Pictured below)

Assessments that are visible on the front-end of the tracker will be included on Reports sent home, even if the Grade is hidden
